Chuck Griffis, aka "Big Chuck", owner and website administrator
Chuck Griffis, Evangelist
aka Big Chuck

My name is Chuck Griffis, and I am an evangelist serving as an outreach minister with the Ethridge church of Christ in Ethridge, Tennessee and the owner of the fools4christ.com domain and website. I am also attending Heritage Christian University in pursuit of my Bible degree. I previously served with the Inner City Ministry in Nashville, Tennessee and Mobile, Alabama for over seventeen years combined.

God took me from the grave of drug and alcohol addiction and used me on the streets of the inner city to bring the Gospel to the poor. I grew up in foster care and various juvenile facilities as a youth, but God blessed me with an earthly family, and His spiritual family - the churches of Christ. God has now blessed me with my wife, Jane, who has an inner beauty and radiance that shines outwardly that brings glory and honor to God!

To read more about me and my work as an evangelist - click here. For information on having me come and conduct an evangelism workshop for your congregation - click here. - résumé and references included. I also have an informational section, Ministry 101, which shares basic principles and values behind outreach ministry and evangelism.

1 Corinthians 4:10a - "We are fools for Christ's sake..."

And so we are! Like the Apostles and early disciples on their missionary journeys, being despised, abased, and laughed at, so are we who carry the Gospel to a fallen world today. We view the ministry of reconciliation (c.f. 2 Corinthians 5:18) as a God given lifestyle, not a job. We will search high and low all over the world for those who would hear the Gospel message. We follow a risen Savior, we preach His message, proclaiming His good news! Our prayer is that all would come to have the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

The fact we bear the Name of CHRIST is no mistake, nor is it a choice of prestige that we strive for, or to build up our own esteem, but rather it is our acknowledgement of His authority and our desire to humbly submit ourselves in obedience to the one who purchased the church with His own blood. The churches of Christ salute you! (c.f. Romans 16:16)
